Micropulse (Subthreshold or Subliminal) Laser

Micropulse Laser aka Subthreshold or Subliminal Laser, is a treatment wherein the energy is delivered in pulses, decreasing heat buildup and damage to surrounding healthy tissues. This allows treatment of areas close to the fovea, or even subfoveal, areas previously considered untreatable.  This option allows us to treat non resolving Central Serous Retinopathy, especially if the leak is peri or subfoveal.  It is also used for diabetic macular edema, especially if patient cannot undergo, or reduce the frequency of anti-VEGF or Steroid injections.
