I always had poor vision as a kid but I didn’t let it hinder me from doing several sports I love. Retinal Detachment though initially shook my belief, as fears of added challenges and limitations present themselves. I'm lucky to have found Dr. Roberto Uy as he prevented me from being completely blind, educated me of my options (this helped calm me down during those times) and guided me to working my way to an active lifestyle I've always wanted to keep. Dr. Uy & Ms. April were always so helpful that I was even able to attend my graduation more than a week after my surgery.
